If you have a standard 4-man HMMWV and can mount a standard military wagon or cargo cover, then absolutely yes. My soft slant backs and cargo covers use the exact same fittings. IMPORTANTLY: The covers attach to the 4-man top using a stock 10 foot long strip of Velcro. Not all aftermarket tops have this Velcro. You CANNOT attach the cover/slant if you do not have the Velcro strip along the rear of the 4-man top.

I do not make covers for 2-man HMMWV at this time. Curtains yes, covers no.

The best place to find replacements for missing tie downs is inside and around your HMMWV, you may see a few you can remove and reposition. Most have a few. Some typical parts are also listed in the Products page. I stock a limited supply of tie down brackets and footmen, and can sell you a few or send you links to make bulk purchase from eBay or Amazon vendors I've located.

Sorry, no. There is no pattern since this soft slant back never existed in the military. Even if I made a pattern, there is no chance I would match the colors of your particular HMMWV's fading or repainting. The best course is to purchase the OD Green MilSpec PVC and paint it. It takes plastic paint or Rapco 383 very well.

PVC and Sailcloth themselves are waterproof, but zippers and sewn seams can leak. HMMWVs are NOT watertight to begin with but generally I have not seen bad water intrusion through my covers. Silicone sprays for sailboats can help as can sprays for convertible car tops. I do apply sealant to seams, but 100% watertight is not possible.

Yes, the covers may stretch a small amount, particularly in the sun, but this varies. They will not loosen greatly over time. The Velcro and straps can be adjusted if needed to accommodate. Some wrinkles are inevitable. Covers are made to fit all vehicles, which are never totally the same. If you want a totally 100% snug cover with no wrinkles... I can do it, IF you bring the vehicle to me to fit by hand.

There is no reason why not. Any Marine grade water repellent treatment should work. Just be sure to follow the manufacturer's instructions and consider masking off the window to protect it. This shouldn't be necessary though.

For PVC vinyl milspec covers, yes, you can paint it. Rapco383 works very well and paints for plastic should also work. I usually include bits of scrap material with kits for repair and such, you could test on one of those. Paint is NOT recommended for sailcloth.

Same as one would use to clean soft doors and windows. Gentle detergent as for the HMMWV soft top, and plastic cleaner such as for convertible car windows.

I have not found a good way to do this yet, though it is on my mind. It would add time and cost though. If you think of a good way, let me know!

I have not been able to find these for a decent price. D rings work fine and I haven't broken one yet. Can't say that about plastic Ancra buckles...

Also there is not much material on the rear edges of a soft slant back so buckles won't work there.

If having Ancra buckles on a custom cargo cover is essential to you, I know where to get them, but they cost $25 each and there are 13 required. This cost will be passed down.

Just what you see listed in the Products page. In 2026 there are plans to begin making 2-man and 4-man tops, curtains and door skins, but the timing is uncertain. Go to Blue Ox Tops on Facebook to get these items sooner. MadMountain does not make Tonneau covers because I haven't figured out how to support the loose vinyl over the bed cavity. If you know a simple, economical way, I'm all ears.

No, this is too much material for my setup to handle and besides the cost would be significantly more than current military surplus options. If you want a different color than the milsurp trailer covers out there already, buy one and paint it.

Please note that our products are BRAND NEW construction. They are NOT military surplus. Tops and bed covers that cost $300-500 in the surplus market didn't cost that much originally. The Govt paid 3x or 4x more for them.

For example: someone asked me to make a new bed cover for a deuce and a half, and said it should cost $500, tops. The proposed price of $500 wouldn't even cover the cost of materials, much less the HOURS and HOURS involved in sewing a 20 foot long 15 foot wide bed cover, along with front and back panels. Even if I can make it, few people are willing to pay for it. So I focus on manageable jobs at a manageable price.

H1 are significantly different in design, by Federal law, from military grade Humvees. The vinyl fitments are completely different. I cannot make anything to fit an H1.

Generally, No. MilSpec vinyl that has been outside is generally dirty and weathered, making repairs cumbersome and often not worthwhile. I appreciate people's offers of old cargo covers and so on but they are not worth shipping, cleaning, repairing and shipping out to another customer. We focus on making new OEM and Upgraded material vinyl products.
